3D at LSC Programs

Afterschool Clay Class for Children
6-week sessions (no class during school vacations) To Be Announced Soon - please e-mail to be notified info@lincolnstreetcenter.org
Instructor: Ann McClellan, Tues 3:30-5pm
Join this group for artistic exploration with clay.  Hand-building and
basic wheel-throwing techniques will be taught.  Ideas will be generated for both structured time and free clay play.  Wheel time will be shared. Skills and vocabulary for clay work will be encouraged for all emerging artists.  Ages 8-14
Cost $75 per six-week session, Materials $10 Class size limited to 10

Thursday Clay Class
same course as described for tuesdays.

Pottery Open Studio
Ongoing
Thursdays 6-8pm

Work with clay, in hand building or wheel throwing techniques on Thursday evenings from 6-8. $10 (plus material fees as used) for people with previous experience working with clay..
This casual setting is ideal for artists and craftspersons wishing to work independently in the company of others.

The studio is equipped with 4 Electric Wheels, 1 kick wheel, Slab Roller, Tools, Kilns, Glazes and Bisques.

For anyone currently enrolled in 3D@LSC, Pottery Open Studio provides extra hours for $5 per session plus materials/kiln fees.  

Studio Memberships to our Clay Studio are $300 per year, plus material and kiln firing fees (at cost). Studio Members have open access to the studio, other than during regularly scheduled classes.

Adult Clay class

Clay Class Tuesdays 6-8pm
6 or 8 week session will be ongoing with breaks

Develop your skills at wheel throwing or hand-building.
Projects presented will include lidded forms, sets, and tiles
as well as support for individual goals. Clay and glaze
techniques with demonstrations will be taught.
For more studio time, take advantage of Thursday evening
Open Studio at discounted price (just $5! When you join
this class). Instructor Ann McClellan has worked with adult
learners for many years. Come and enjoy company in the
3D Studio during these upcoming winter months. Feel free
to bring a light meal. All levels/teenagers welcome. Sessions
will run 5:30-7:30. Fee: $75 for 6 sessions, plus $10 material fee.

Ann McClellan served a 5 year potter's apprenticeship in Japan.
Her wares are available locally at Carver Hill Gallery in Rockport
and Trillium Soaps in Rockland.

She holds two B.A. degrees in Art and Art Education.
Her work is in permanent collections in Japan.

Adult memberships to the clay studio at Lincoln Street Center are available year round.
