The Artists of LSC Several Artists make LSC their base in Rockland, Maine. On site in the building we have a fully equipped Darkroom, and a beautiful Art Gallery (see photo below). There is a Dance Studio, a gymnasium and an old fashioned Theatre Auditorium. We are located right in the heart of the city of Rockland only a few blocks from the Farnsworth Museum of Art, and the current Rockland District High School. We offer afterschool classes for kids and teens. We are home to the Penobscot YMCA Satellite programming, the Watershed Alternative high school. This fall the Penobscot School of Language Learning will join LSC. The Pottery Studios are equipped with kilms, wheels and have several courses for all ages. Spring classes begin March 26! We have opened a gift shop including rug-hooking supplies and a library in our office area. Lincoln Street Center is a non-profit institution, and we wish for community members to become involved in whichever way(s) they can: volunteer (lots of ways!), take classes, attend performances, donate funds. Please call us Monday-Friday 9-1 and speak directly with a live person at 207-594-6490. Thank you!
Artist Joseph Barbario's exhibition @LSC. Joe is onsite Thursday evenings in Pottery Open Studio 6-9pm. |
