Dear Friends & Supporters, 
 
I am writing to share Lincoln Street Center’s successes of 2011, the result of many generous contributions from resident artists, educators and community partners, and to request your continued financial support in the upcoming year. To offer this worthwhile facility to the community, we need YOUR help. 
 
While recently visiting our campus, I encountered a group of Watershed School students in the parking lot who were launching large spheres into the air from an enormous wooden catapult. Later that day, I found myself dodging balls as they rolled down the halls! The demonstration was of Newton’s Laws of Motion, a true hands-on experience for these bright, visual learners. 
 
I am constantly reminded of how wonderful it is to, once again, awaken the halls and classrooms of this historic building with creativity and knowledge. Over the past year, many special events have taken place – here are just a few highlights: 
 
Studio Classes including painting with Ronald Frontin, pottery for children and adults with Ann McClellan, and woodworking with Hugh Lane
Musical, Theatrical + Stage Performances including the George Cole Quintet, Bill Morissey Hymn for Her, John Elliot, Jack Wilson … and even movies!
Fitness Classes including yoga, Zumba®, martial arts and natural healing
Rock Coast Rollers all-female roller derby team
Exhibitions in Jean B. Chalmers Art Gallery including Our Renaissance, Ed Moffit’s Archetype Vand Helen Corning’s painting exhibition
 
Corporate Events + Private Parties 
 
 In tribute to our community, and to those who attended Rockland High School, we invite you to view the many memories that adorn our walls, including RHS athletic banners and the much-coveted Tiger mascot. We are grateful to have nearly every studio space currently occupied by an artist, educator or craftsman. .Still, we need your help.
 
Please consider a tax deductible gift to Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education. We have exciting ideas for new programs, and for finding ways to update this historic landmark. Your generous contribution is vital to make this a reality.
