"Extended Pose" is a new course that will be offered at the Lincoln Street Center in Rockland. Beginning Thursday, April 3rd, a new pose will be set for 3 sessions 10th, and 17th from 6-8:30 artists will work from the figure and have a chance to focus on one pose for several evenings.  Upstairs in the beautiful Jean B. Chalmers Art Gallery, the group works in a studio setting.  A model will resume the same pose every week so that artists have an opportunity for a more in depth study. Artists of all media  (painting, drawing, and sculpture, etc.) are welcome. For those interested in sculpture, stands and tools will be provided and for an additional $12 a 15 lb bag of clay will be available. Drawing benches are also provided for two dimensional artists. Each session will cost $12, or $30 for all three evenings. Artists of all abilities are welcome.  Poses will change every 3 weeks and the group may choose to take a week off occasionally so please contact eliz.thorp@gmail.com to be on the contact list and for details from week to week. 

Ever wished you could sculpt a figure or paint a portrait? Here is your chance to practice!

"Extended Pose" supplements "Life Drawing" which is offered every Monday evening from 6-8:30 at the Lincoln Street Center. On Mondays, the model can take as many as 15 poses over the course of one evening so artists create many drawings during one session.
