Alas, Poor Fred @LSC
Starring in the Lincoln Street Center’s production are real life husband and wife, Marilyn Gilbert and Nathan Rundlett, visiting actors from Santa Barbara, California. Marilyn and Nathan recently performed Alas, Poor Fred to rave reviews in Santa Barbara. One reviewer called Alas, Poor Fred “An Evening of Absurd Hilarity”. He continues “Absurd! Outageous! So True! So wonderfully, painfully ourselves. Here are actors who know their craft and know each other well (think Hume Cronyn & Jessica Tandy, Alfred Lunt & Lynn Fontaine, or more recently Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor)—a night of delightful theatrical lunacy—a serene symphony of human comedy extraordinaire.” The couple are visiting the Mid-Coast area and wanted to give this production as a benefit for Lincoln Street Center to keep the arts alive and accessible for all ages. Alas, Poor Fred will play for two nights only, Saturday and Sunday, October 14 & 15 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a pre-performance reception at 7:00 each evening. Tickets are $15 (including refreshments) and may be purchased or reserved by calling the Lincoln Street Center, 594-6490 or will be available at the door. For more info: info@lincolnstreetcenter.org
